I'm unabashedly swiping a mod concept from
Jon Vermilye. He copied the concept from someone else. Simply put, the concept is to cover the refrigerator doors with a laminated photo. Our refrigerator is a two door Dometic 6.0 cubic foot unit with the hinges on the right side of the doors.
Given my love of rivers and canyons, I made it a point to take some vertical format pictures on our
latest Green River trip. I've cropped them to match the ratio of the refrigerator and added a brown strip of the correct scale to represent the space between the upper and lower doors. I added three pictures at the end from
March's Grand Canyon trip but I'm not sure that the last two will have enough resolution for this project.
Please vote for the photo you think I should use by leaving a comment on this post.

I love #9, but #16 is the obvious (to me at least) wimner
ReplyDelete9 and 16- of which 16 is my favorite.
ReplyDelete-Kurt Lynne
First Choice is #15, I think the break between the top and bottom is less dramatic making it easy on the eyes, would work well. Second Choice is #9 but the break makes it look like two different pictures instead of one continuous picture. Still, I love the Buttes of the Cross.
ReplyDeleteMany great options but 15 wins for me... based purely on aesthetics and composition. I also like 9... especially if you 'Photoshop' your canoe in the foreground!
ReplyDelete15 is my choice...refreshing!
ReplyDelete#15 is a winner in my eyes, they are all great. Can't wait to see the finished product!
ReplyDeleteMy vote would be 16, that beckoning view down the river. But 15 is a close 2nd.
ReplyDelete16 is gorgeous, but I vote for Buttes of the Cross since you and BJ have been there together!
ReplyDeleteLove the geometry of 5. Love the flow (pun only sort of intended) of 15.
ReplyDeleteHard to choose but I really like 15
ReplyDeleteI love waterfalls so #15 is my choice!
ReplyDeleteHi John. Cool idea! All nice but 9 really stands out. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteThinking that you will be living with it for months at a time, I choose 17 for its simplicity and message. Love the waterfall but it would be too busy for me in a small space.
ReplyDeleteAll of them??..# 16 Would work for me, I love water and red dirt..Mmm Yup!

#9 goes best with the gap between the freezer and fridge doors. Paul O.
ReplyDeleteI really like number 17 is that you guys in the boat I like 15 too but 17 gete my vote it just looks so peaceful
ReplyDeleteI just ordered laminated prints of #9 (Buttes of the Cross on the Green River) which BJ likes because of the way it fits the gap between the freezer and fridge AND #15 (Elves Chasm on the Colorado in the Grand Canyon.) I like both 16 & 17 but it's my friend in his boat rather that us in our boat (is there a dory in my future?) and more important, both of those pictures were originally landscape format so I don't have as many vertical pixels to work with. If I'm real impressed with these two prints, I may try ordering either 16 or 17 to see if the lower resolution is acceptable.
DeleteThanks to everyone for your input!
Number 1 or 16...for certain sure!
ReplyDeleteGlad you ordered #9 that's my pick.
