The City of Seward knows that they get inundated with visitors during certain seasons. As a result, they've created many RV parking spots along the waterfront. Not fancy, and most have no utilities, but for $15 you've got a great view and can watch the boats come and go.
Seward is the access point for the Kenai Fjords National Park and is home to a number of small passenger ships that do tours of the glaciers.
The harbor is also home for a small number of commercial fishing vessels.
Holland America arrives weekly, dropping off a boatload of passengers on a one-way Alaska cruise and picking up a new group. The blue machinery is used for loading coal from the Denali region that is shipped to the Pacific Rim.
