Married

Yesterday was the big day for our daughter.

She's dreamt of an outdoor wedding and found this wonderful venue at a little winery. The plan called for the ceremony outdoors

with the reception in the barn.

Lots of photos before the ceremony

while the wind got colder and the clouds got darker.

Shawls appeared for the bride and bridesmaids and the ceremony was moved indoors.

Following the ceremony there were even more photos,

dinner & cake

followed by a bonfire complete with s'mores for those who needed even more sugar.

Somewhere along the way, the bride switched to comfortable shoes

before they departed in their chariot driven by friends.

Now that you've suffered through the amateur photos, here's a taste of the professional photos.

We're excited to welcome Bryan to the family!

    1. Thought you'd enjoy the venue. The ceremony was simple, the bride beautiful, and we all had fun!

  2. I know I made the right call to stay home and nurse MY bride... but I dearly would have loved to see my old friend walk his daughter down the aisle (inside aisle or outside aisle... makes no difference).

    1. I'm sorry you weren't able to be here - we had a whole table of unrecognizable river rats all dressed up! :-)

    1. I just hope your granddaughter's wedding is as much fun as this one was. Kelli did lots of planning but also decided to not sweat the small stuff.

  5. Thought about you on Wednesday while watching the Country's weather forecast. Sorry she didn't get her outdoor wedding, but it appears things went well, otherwise. Wishing them a long and happy marriage.

    1. The day before was beautiful as was the sunset on Wedesday so she got the pictures she wanted. Meanwhile the guests and the wedding party were certainly more comfortable inside. I was really impressed with how smoothly everything went.
