I always enjoy the drive east from our neighborhood with the Superstitions filling the windshield. With the Sups wrapped in white, I had to find a spot where I could get a picture without power lines in the way.
It didn't last long, but sure looked nice for a while. Our overnight temps are now back up to the mid 40's and the forecast is looking much more normal. I guess it will be time to grab a paint brush for a small project tomorrow.
I hope all of you have a wonderful New Year!
Those mountains have an almost surreal majesty about them. I especially appreciated the photo without the power lines.
ReplyDeleteAnd every day they look different, depending on the light. You can see why Lynne loves to snag a site at the foot of the Sups.
DeleteSuch a beautiful sight! Love that bottom picture! Poor Winnie must be cold without me, though. ;-(
ReplyDeleteBut not too cold. The lowest we saw here was 29 degrees for a few hours. Winnie should have had a good view of Four Peaks with snow.
DeleteAwesome photos! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteShould be seeing them close up by Tuesday!
Send us an email when you get into town. We've got some citrus with your name on it and BJ says she'll make tortilla soup...
DeleteWill do! Looking forward to seeing you and BJ!
ReplyDeleteCold in Texas. Hope you have warmer weather ordered for the first of Feb.
ReplyDeleteYou and me both. I've got a 3 day river trip planned for the lower Colorado over MLK weekend. Next week is looking beautiful, but who knows about the following three weeks.
