Let It Snow

Our visit with the Anchorage contingent has been wonderful with a few more days to go. One day the weather got up to almost 30 degrees which resulted in snow all day. Most of the time it has been a bit more chilly, but not bad. I will note none of us have suggested a winter camping trip!

The neighborhood looks like a Christmas card with snow on all the roofs and many of the driveways.

We have become familiar with Alaskans' favorite winter tool although it has really been for just a day or too with clear skies the rest of the time.

Church on Sunday was a special experience. Lots of Christmas carols sung while watching the snow fall on the other side of the windows. It's the first white Christmas for us since 1985 and we're enjoying every minute!

I trust that you and your families enjoy a Blessed Christmas.

  4. A white Christmas is beautiful. Reminds me that the Christ of Christmas washes our sins away and our lives become white as snow.

  5. I must admit that's the first weather forecast I've seen that said the high would be 0 - 10. Hard for me to imagine!

It is beautiful, though. Love white Christmases and glad you finally got one!

And I especially loved the church photo. The Reason for the Season. :)

    1. I'm pretty sure it never saw 10 degrees today - maybe 5 but we're really enjoying it. It's easy to accept when you know you can leave.

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas.
